Native Language Freedom Day 2026
On the occasion of Lithuania’s Press Restoration, Language and Book Day, the Lithuanian Section of EEB2 welcomed two distinguished linguists from Lithuania: Vilma Zubaitienė, a lecturer at Vilnius University and Chair of the Lithuanian Language Society, and Rita Urnėžiūtė, editor of the journal Native Language.
European Exam 2026
On the occasion of Europe Day, the Lithuanian Section of our school once again actively took part in the traditional European Exam – a short, engaging, and enjoyable quiz on knowledge of the European Union.
A Meaningful Performance
The Lithuanian Section received a special gift from their home country - a monodrama by the Panevėžys Drama Theatre entitled “Living Rooms Scented with Gingerbread.” Pupils and teachers from both the primary and secondary cycles attended the performance whenever possible.
Children’s Creative Initiative Fund Events
The Children’s Creative Initiative Fund is a non-governmental organisation in Lithuania working in the fields of education and culture. Its activities encourage children to learn, apply their knowledge in practice, think critically and creatively, work independently, develop a wide range of skills, and discover and express their talents.
Project "Back to School"
The Lithuanian Section of EEB2 participates annually in the “Back to School” initiative organised by Lithuania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The project brings diplomats to schools to share their experience and deepen students’ understanding of the European Union.
World Book and Copyright Day
Our school recently celebrated two important literary dates: International Children’s Book Day - held on Hans Christian Andersen’s birthday - and World Book and Copyright Day, established by UNESCO to promote reading and respect for authors’ rights.
Juvenes Translatores 2026
Our school has been honoured with an official award from the European Commission in recognition of our student Aušra Andrulytė (S7 LTA) for her outstanding performance in the prestigious European Union young translators’ competition “Juvenes Translatores”.

Euroclassica 2026
The certificate award ceremony for the EUROCLASSICA competition took place on May 7.
The Last Season - theatre performance
On April 24, our S7 students performed their show “The Last Season” for a large audience, showcasing a compilation of the work in their theater course throughout the year.
Biodiversity week - 28, 29 & 30 Apil
For the third year in a row, we took advantage of the excursion week in the secondary cycle to organize a biodiversity week for the students who remained at school. During three days, they were able to participate in a wide range of hands-on and educational activities related to climate change, recycling, and nature.

Exploring Biodiversity Through Blackout Poetry
The workshops in the library "Hidden Nature: Exploring Biodiversity Through Blackout Poetry” inspired remarkable enthusiasm among our students. Their participation and dedication were truly impressive, and it was especially encouraging to discover that some students signed up for two out of the three workshops because of their strong interest in the activity.
